The Funky Little Brewery In The Woods.
Happening This Week
Blue Collar Born & Brewed.
Big Rail is a nickname for 155-pound and 152-pound rail — made incredibly strong to handle the immense weight of ore and coal carried through Pennsylvania’s old-growth forests, across her mighty rivers, and over her foreboding mountains. Likewise, Big Rail Brewing was forged in the wilds of Pennsylvania, and we brew our beer to honor all of the unseen blue collar tradespeople who hold up the immense weight of modern civilization.

Big Rail is a Little Different.
Most breweries start by opening a tap room. We decided to start with the beer garden.
And not just any beer garden:
Stretch your legs across acres of beautiful outdoor green space.
Relax and sip micro brews of every color, from the richest stouts and hoppiest IPAs to the crispest cream ales and lagers.
Enjoy carefully curated background music, crackling camp fires, live bands and other special events, yard games, and hearty meals from the best local food trucks.
Always family and leashed-pet friendly. Rain or shine. Shelter is limited, so dress for the weather.
And since we know you’re wondering: Where is the beer brewed?
When It Rains, We Pour.
We’re open year round, rain or shine. But it’s Pennsylvania… and around here, it’s best to embrace the seasons. The colder it gets, the bigger the campfires get.
If there’s a storm or high wind, we may close for a day for our customers’ safety… check this page or on social media for last minute updates.

We Are Independent.
Big Rail Brewing is a 100% independently-owned craft brewery. (What does that mean?)
What’s more, we’re not just the owners… we’re also the founders, brewers and operators.
As natives of western Pennsylvania, we decided long ago that we wouldn’t build our brewery anywhere else.
So when you support us, you’re also supporting our region, rather than lining the pockets of someone you’ll never meet.
