We’re an indie folk duo hailing from Johnstown, Pennsylvania. As full time musicians, we perform at a wide variety of special events and locations across Pennsylvania and surrounding states (but we’re always up for traveling further)!
So why did we choose the name, ‘The Evergreens?’ While we do love Christmas and the smell of cedar, we call ourselves The Evergreens because of the songs we play. We cover hits that have stood the test of time and have never “gone out of season” – much like evergreen trees. We put our own indie/folk twist on hits ranging from the 1950’s-1990’s (with a few modern songs in the mix). This allows us to connect with all people in an audience – young and old. (Example: We’ve rocked the stage at both a 100-year-old and a 3-year-old’s birthday party!)

Shannon Jones is a singer/songwriter currently residing in Clarksburg, West Virginia. She got her start at the age of fifteen, miles away in McMurray, PA at an open mic night.
The Davisson Brothers welcomed her on stage to open for their band back in the early 2000’s for a handful of shows. In addition to booking regular weekly gigs, she also began opening for The New Relics. The New Relics were based out of Morgantown, West Virginia, and she began touring the east coast on their tour bus as an opener. When Shannon moved from Morgantown back to the Clarksburg area in 2008 is when she met Joe Prichard of The Recipe. That encounter turned into nine years of touring the east coast, performing in festivals and venues as the front female vocalist and co-songwriter for the band. She got to perform in two All Good Music festivals, open for Rusted Root, and perform at festivals with artists such as Keller Williams, Sam Bush, Peter Rowan, and Les Claypool. In 2017, Shannon stepped away from the band and performing all together, but she’s finally emerged from that hiatus.
Shannon’s sound is difficult to categorize but can mostly be compared to the folk-rock genre. She has hundreds of original songs as well as probably twice as many cover songs that she has learned and worked on for almost 25 years.

Event Details
Dan Bubien & the Delta Struts put a contemporary spin on soulful roots music. Driven by the dynamic guitar playing duo of Shawn Mazzei and Dan Bubien, along with Bubien’s soulful gritty vocals. Their signature sound is highlighted by the precision playing and deep toned-full sound of drummer Mark Pollera and glued together by Christian Caputo’s steady, groove oriented bass playing. They are set to release their first studio album together as a band in early spring of 2019 and Dan’s 3rd album in the past 5 years.
Dan Bubien is a singer/songwriter/guitarist born and raised in the small steel town of Aliquippa, Pennsylvania. This rust belt town Northwest of Pittsburgh, has been the launching pad for a career that spans over two decades now culminating with his current band The Delta Struts.
Dan’s professional career began in his mid-teens working along side veteran musicians on the local and regional club circuit of Southwest PA. Along the way, Dan founded and recorded with The Sun Kings releasing Rub It In (2006) while continuing to hone his skills as a front man and songwriter. As a solo artist, Dan released “Empty Roads” in 2013 with the help of four-time Grammy Award Winning Producer/Engineer Jay Dudt of Audible Images Studios. Capitalizing on his previous success with “Empty Roads”, Dan released his second solo album in August of 2016 entitled “Grinding These Gears”. Self-produced and recorded by legendary Pittsburgh musician Joe Munroe “Grinding These Gears” achieved critical acclaim and charted on the Blues/Rock and World Wide blues album charts respectively.
Fast forward to 2017 and the newest incarnation of Dan’s vision has culminated in the creation of Dan Bubien and The Delta Struts. Gritty and honest, yet always soulful one might think this band hails from a place much further south than the suburbs of northwest Pittsburgh. Dan is constantly refining and redefining his craft using a wide palette of tones and textures, sounds and styles, that express a heart-felt love of all things music. Rooted in soul, and versed in a style that harkens back to the days of a classic STAX recording, Dan Bubien and The Delta Struts consistently break new ground with an eclectic spin on the collective music they make. Backed by the stellar guitar playing of Shawn Mazzei and anchored by rhythm section veterans Mark Pollera (Drums) and Christian Caputo (Bass) The Delta Struts chart a course that begins and ends with the music always being the first priority. After spending much of 2018 recording what was to become “Thieves and Yesterdays” Dan Bubien and The Delta Struts plan on a release date of February 1st and a tour starting in Nashville at the end of March. Check our website for up to date information and reviews about “Thieves and Yesterday’s” as well as updates from the road beginning in March.

Event Details
Before I started my career I had a choice: to take over my parent’s thoroughbred farm in New Jersey or pursue music full time in California and relinquish the farm to sale. I still wonder what life would have looked like had I stayed, but who can resist the gold rush? Besides, I plan to get back there one day on another farm with some other red barn.
My music comes from life’s moments — smelling 4 acres of freshly cut grass, watching the steam from a horse’s breath in the early morning, finally holding the neck of my guitar after holding bridles and worn wooden handles all day. 4000 acres of freshly burnt wildfire, watching the steam from the Pacific Ocean’s breath in the early morning, finally holding the neck of my guitar after clutching the worn steering wheel of the tour van all day.
Now my reality is in Bonny Doon, CA, where mountains meet the sea. I am in my recording studio, aptly named Hippie Cowboy, every day. Slow and steady; keep it fun, stay engaged. All for the moment when the song finally sounds right. My dad passed away a couple years ago — his bullwhip is on the wall, his Harley is in the driveway. He visits me in dreams, and oh, the moment I wake up! Sometimes I write for him. Sometimes for my mom, who I hope will move out to California soon. Maybe she could volunteer at an equestrian center…
A person is made from their moments, like their music is made. I know this is a bio but I shouldn’t have to say much. Listen to the record. If I’ve done my job well, you will know me by the end.
Artist Statement
This is a special record to me. Unlike the past few, this one sounds like a more cohesive ‘band’ statement. Most of it was cut together live, in a room over five days. Rob, Elliott, and I had been playing for a long time with Mikey and then Hawes on drums, and while the music always felt great, the ‘band’ feeling hadn’t made its way into the recording studio. ‘Time Spent In Between’ and ‘Sending Money and Stems’ were very pieced together albums; me playing most of the instruments, collaborating with many different drummers but working one song at a time, etc. However, when Jeff moved back from Nashville and joined the band, it felt more cohesive. Maybe we gelled because Jeff came from the same musical world. In our little family Jeff championed nicknames, Elliott invented musical travel games, and Rob and I rolled our eyes at their enthusiasm for Arby’s. We travelled around sharing our art and feeling free. When we went to Enterprise, OR to record the first session, most of the songs were learned on the spot. We strove for the zenith moments when we knew the song well enough to not make errors but still had to fly by the seats of our pants to keep it from coming unglued. Everything has an arc like this. After all, when you know something well enough you can take the present for granted. After those sessions we toured our new songs for a year (it usually goes the other way around) and decided some of the songs were misunderstood the first time so we recorded them again, live and together. I am thankful and proud of that process and proud of them. The music captured on this record occurred in very special moments between four people who had a special bond, musically and beyond. We hope you enjoy it.

Ben Gage is an Americana musician from Akron, OH. Ben Gage grew up in the rust belt of Northeast Ohio, spread out in the countryside along the great Lake Erie. His roots run deep alongside the hard working blue collars that Ohio has to boast. That tenacity, love of family, and respect for a long day can be seen in his music. In Fall of 2021 Ben quit his job in the tech-sector to pursue music full time. Now he travels the US sharing stories and songs and always collecting more.
Folk and Blues music gives us a way to hand along a story, and it’s what fuels Ben’s songwriting and the reason he includes the listener. The best story sets aside the complexities and focuses on honesty. You will find yourself feeling as though you’ve heard his songs before even if it’s your first time.
To him music has always been a social endeavor. When not playing solo he has The Ben Gage Band, including Dan Socha (Guitar), Brant Novak (Upright Bass) and Spencer Cindia (Drums).
